Beskrivelse

In this final episode, we go on a deep dive into two important and unfortunately overlooked pieces of evidence that could have helped with this case. Amal's body temperature at time of death & also the trash from the crime scene. Why was one not looked into at all and the other only slightly touch upon? This season closes out with lots of questions, with aspirations, & with the hope that this case will be solved one day. Through her work and determination, our host Eileen Zenn continues to uncover more information about this unsolved case. While some of this has been very discouraging, Eileen will not give up, and that is why we have returned. Join the Victim in Surprise Facebook Group [https://m.facebook.com/groups/992892106270129/] The opening and closing theme is "Rania" from the band Constantine. This podcast is speculative and any theory presented is not proof of anyone’s guilt. All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

S2 - Episode 1 - Back to Square One

Welcome to Season 2 of the Victim in Surprise. When this podcast was originally conceived, the intention was to present it as one season to bring awareness to Amal Bahjat's brutal unsolved murder. The hope was to respark interest in her case and to reignite the police investigation to find Amal's killer. However, as we are entering into the 9th year of her unsolved cold case, host Eileen Zenn felt the urge to bring the podcast back for another season to keep alive the attention and focus to this case and to present more facts and details. Through her work, Eileen has uncovered more information, some of which was very discouraging, but Eileen will not give up, and that is why we have returned. In this season, we will look closely at the small details surrounding this case. In this episode, we shall introduce them to you, the listener. Based on updates from the Surprise police department's most recent report, we go back to where Eileen left off back in Season 1. Special Thanks to Sandi Allen who covered Amal's case on her podcast Twisted Travels and True Crime.
