Tobias Nuttall, a 33-year-old Perth podcaster, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his girlfriend Alisha Hendren-Krippner in their Bassendean home in August last year. The Supreme Court heard a disturbing triple zero call where Nuttall calmly admitted to stabbing his partner to death, claiming self-defence while coming down from methamphetamine. The judge rejected his victim-blaming attempts and emphasised the sentence must address the insidious nature of domestic violence, with Nuttall required to serve 18 years before parole eligibility.
