As the self appointed story teller of the Adams State Football Program it seemed like an opportune time to share the legend of the coach with the longest tenure and most wins havvenist coach in program history,  Former Head Coach and Athletic Director Dr. Jeff Geiser. Coach Gallas and Coach Geiser eat lunch together on a regular basis here in Alamosa, and Coach Geiser was kind enough to agree to a sit down with me. In this interview we unpack his playing journey from La Veta standout to CU Buffalo record holder, he talks about his first coaching years and the good fortune that led him to Alamosa where he spent decades as a coach, professor and athletic director. By the end of this interview it should be clear why honoring coach Geiser’s contributions by naming one of the most important alumni engagement events after him was a major priority of Coach Gallas.
