TIM'S STORY OF LOSING HIS WIFE IN MENOPAUSE

This podcast is a true story of how my dear friend Tim lost his wife during menopause when she was only 49 years old in 2016.  Tim wanted to be on the podcast himself and tell you what happened to his beautiful wife Michelle when she was put on lithium for menopause but sadly he passed away on 6th January 2021 before we had the chance to do a recording. It was very important to him to get his story out to the world and he hoped others would not have to suffer the way he did.  I met Tim four years after his wife died and it was a beautiful story of two friends coming together for a reason.  Through my story and struggle in menopause he found out that he was not a bad husband but a man who was lead in a bad direction by doctors his trusted. He finally found peace and my hope is he is reunited with Michelle in a better place, free from pain and sadness.  RIP Tim my dear friend.  You were a gentleman I was happy to know.  I hope I did you proud with your story.  I look forward to riding horses with you next time around.

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR SLEEP IN MENOPAUSE

The one thing I have learned since arriving in menopause that good sleep it the most important thing you can have to help with you symptoms.  I struggled with insomnia when menopause first started and with the following tools I now sleep 9hrs a night consistently and no longer have any issues.  I hope this podcast helps those who are counting sheep and helps the get their sleep back on track.

Ambien is a very widely used psychiatric sleep aid, especially in America.  Even the FDA has given warning about it use.  It is not only highly addictive but very dangerous.  Women and men are given this drug by their doctors without fully being told what they are actually getting into.  The true facts are not pretty but we need to be aware of sleep aids that could actually end your life.

Menopause is not a mental illness.  It is insulting that general practitioners are so quick to reach for the anti-depressants in menopause.  Fact:  Menopause affects us physically and emotionally but it does not mean we are in need of psychiatric drugs that make the situation worse.
