Between Australia and overseas, Elise has done just about every job imaginable in car insurance, making her the perfect person to explain why your “minor bumper tap” somehow turns into a six-page assessment report. What we didn’t expect to uncover was Elise’s absolute fear of driving with passengers, something I discovered firsthand on the freeway recently. The experience rattled her manager, riding shotgun, enough to suggest she come on the podcast and three hours later this episode was born. It’s claims chaos, questionable driving confidence and the sort of sideways yarns that prove insurance people really shouldn’t be left unsupervised with microphones.
