About Bitz & Bopz

We aim to bridge the generational gap in hip-hop. The dominance of those in the music industry holding onto the great artists of the past hinders the progression of the a newer wave of hip-hop talent. Paying respect to the greats is necessary so that we dont forget where this revolutionary genre originated and how it has evolved, but we all know Jay-Z is the GOAT, Grandmaster Flash pioneered the genre, and that Kendrick Lamar represents the culture like no other, but what’s next? More importantly, who’s next? Why is Playboi Carti so captivating and attracts a cult-like fanbase with overproduced music and little substance? What does Drake's continued dominance on the charts, despite his feud with Kendrick Lamar, say about the current rap audience? "Bitz & Bopz" will embrace the diverse sounds and perspectives of today's music and artists, and look towards the future of hip-hop.
