Pat Strack has lived in Borehamwood since the 1970s. She has been a Councillor on Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council and Hertsmere Borough Council and a Guide leader amongst other things. She tells Clive Glover about her life in Borehamwood.

Talking Turkey

In a Christmas special Clive Glover talks to guests Klaudia and Nadia about their Christmas celebrations. Klaudia's family prepare a tradional Polish meal for Christmas Eve and then a full British turkey roast for Christmas Day. Nadia's family are vegan so replace turkey with nut roast but have all the roast vegetables including potatoes, carots and sprouts.

Gabriella Spillman

Clive Glover talks to Gabriella Spillman who is aiming for a career as a professional footballer. She explains her training regime and diet needed to be fit as a footballer at Crystal Palace where she is a member of their Under 21 Women's team. Amazingly she also works part time so she has to be very organised. Gabriella's ambition is to become a Lioness and play in the World Cup and the Euros.Remember her name!

Bob Bassey

Bob Bassey is an amazing volunteer fund-raiser who lives in Radlett. He decided to celebrate his 70th birthday running a fund-raising raffle for the Royal Free Hospital in London who have treated him so well for many months. Clive Glover talks to Sue Merrill about her adventurous life in Borehamwood living on a farm in the 1950s and 60s. She has written a book about this called "A Way through the Woods" which has just been published.
