Description

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Luke 22:54-62; John 21:15 “Then seizing him, they led him away and took him into the house of the high priest. Peter followed at a distance. And when some there had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat down with them. A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight. She looked closely at him and said, “This man was with him.” But he denied it. “Woman, I don’t know him,” he said. A little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” “Man, I am not!” Peter replied. About an hour later another asserted, “Certainly this fellow was with him, for he is a Galilean.” Peter replied, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Just as he was speaking, the rooster crowed. The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.” ‭‭Luke 22:54-62 “When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭21‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Failure is not final.  Movements start with movement: * Peter overestimates his strength. Peter replied, "Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death."  Luke 22:33 * Fear exposes what confidence cannot cover. The seizing him (Jesus), they led him away and took him into the house of the high priest. Peter followed at a distance. Luke 22:54 * Peter weeps, but does not disappear. And he went outside and wept bitterly. Luke 22:62 * Jesus restores Peter with love and commission. “When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭21‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Shame says, “You are finished.” Jesus says, “Come back, and let Me rebuild you.” ★ Support this podcast ★ [https://bridgechurch.tv/give/]

Ephesians 6:16-17 “In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Spiritual battles require spiritual weapons to win!  Additional Armor to Put On: The Shield of Faith... You can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Ephesians 6:16b The Helmet of Salvation... “And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬ The Sword of the Spirit “For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ ‭AMP‬‬ “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭14‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ Today, take up the shield, the helmet, the Sword, fight the good fight! ★ Support this podcast ★ [https://bridgechurch.tv/give/]

Armed | Stand Firm | Pastor Eric Fretz

“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬ To 'stand firm' is not an option but a command for the Christ follower.  How do I stand firm? Put On:  The Belt of truth... Jesus is "the way, the truth, and the life". John 14:6 NIV The Breastplate of Righteousness... The Lord put on righteousness as his breastplate...  Isaiah 59:17 NIV The Shoes of Peace... Jesus himself is our peace...  Ephesians 2:14 NIV Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Today, stand firm in the faith through truth, righteousness, and peace.  ★ Support this podcast ★ [https://bridgechurch.tv/give/]

Armed | Be Strong | Pastor Eric Fretz

Armed | Be Strong Ephesians 6:10–13 (NIV)  Strength for the battle comes from the Lord as we put on His armor and stand. INTRODUCTION: As followers of Christ, we are not fighting for victory we are FIGHTING FROM VICTORY! Jesus said, "It is FINISHED". Access God's Power “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Acknowledge the Battle Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Advance with Assurance “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬ We are not just survivors or defenders but MORE THAN CONQUERORS! Chiseled | Built By Jesus | Pastor Eric Fretz

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Sermon: Chiseled by the Spirit Scripture: Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; Acts 2:14  “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd..." ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Jesus never told the church to be clever enough, strong enough, or persuasive enough. He told us to wait for power, because the mission ahead would require more than human ability. Movements start with movement: * Pentecost turns weakness into boldness. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ * Peter preaches with clarity and conviction. “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬ * God uses Peter to build the church. “Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭41‬ ‭NIV‬‬ God does not only heal us for private comfort; He builds us for public usefulness and kingdom impact. ★ Support this podcast ★ [https://bridgechurch.tv/give/]
