Let's Meet Chelsea!

Hey Party People!   Join me for the next episode where we share time and space with Chelsea!   Chelsea is a queer mama of two rowdy kiddos, an anti-diet registered dietitian, folk/country musician, and soon-to-be student.. again. She just finished her last semester as an assistant professor of nutrition and is headed to nursing school in the fall! In this new journey, she hopes to practice care using a weight-inclusive, anti-racist, and social justice lens. She is passionate about human and environmental rights, and finds solace playing music to protest the unjust policies and practices happening across the world. Chelsea wants to be a lot of things when she “grows up”, including a midwife, farmer, politician, mystic, and Dolly Parton. In this episode, Chelsea shares her ongoing journey in discovering herself - from the personal to professional everything in between. Chelsea discusses her path to her Ph.D, her time spent in Nashville, and where things are now. Naturally, Chelsea invites us in to hear about where things are going... building a private practice, pivoting to nursing, and embracing the “woo-woo” all while honoring her authentic self along the way! Let's Meet Kendra!

Hey Party People! Join me for the next episode where we meet my dear friend Kendra! "Kendra is first and foremost a mom of four boys who loves spending time with family, watching her kids play sports, and anything cozy. Professionally, she is an occupational therapist, educator, and assistant professor. She has worked in pediatrics and school based practice for most of her OT career and has been an OT practitioner since 2012, first as a COTA, then as an OTR, and later completing her post professional doctorate. She is currently midway through Ayres Sensory Integration training and has strong interests in sensory integration, nervous system regulation, trauma informed care, and the neuro piece behind sensory processing and everyday functioning. More recently, she has also become interested in community based and population health approaches within occupational therapy. She is also very open about living with ADHD and navigating the world with a brain that is probably a little neurospicy in more ways than one."
