In Saint John, New Brunswick, the creature is tied to the Reversing Falls—horned, watchful, and carrying something lost. On Campobello Island, it appears again, bound to a curse and something taken that was never meant to be used.
Further north, Inuit and Dene stories speak of massive, unseen worms beneath the water—creatures connected to whirlpools, vanishing canoes, and the quiet understanding that some places are not meant to be crossed.
