In the first episode of Capstone Recap, hosts Maya Mackey and Chloe Sweitzer, Class of 2024, discuss their paths to becoming Digital Media and Film (DMF) majors at St. Lawrence University. Fellow DMF seniors Adri Nothnagle and Emily Boswell join to discuss influential classes and professors and their experiences double-majoring. Topics include the flexibility of DMF and its intersections with various disciplines on campus, as well as opportunities for on-campus media-related jobs, such as broadcasting sports events and editing for campus publications. The guests highlight the importance of supportive faculty and hands-on experiences in shaping their academic and career paths within the DMF major. In Episode 2 of Capstone Recap, “Finding a Balance," hosts Emily Boswell and Adri Nothnagle speak with fellow Digital Media and Film (DMF) majors Jules Naclerio and Billy Goggins about their involvement in Athletics at St. Lawrence University. The hosts and panelists share their experiences with their respective sports and how they got into athletics or started working with athletics. They discuss how being student-athletes or working with Athletics impacts their academic lives and daily schedules, with each panelist providing a glimpse into their busy schedules. They reflect on the challenges of managing academic responsibilities alongside rigorous training and competition or work schedules. The conversation highlights the demanding nature of their student-athlete roles and the dedication required to maintain a balance between academics and athletics. Despite the challenges, they express enjoyment in their roles and highlight the community, camaraderie, and connections they've found within their teams and workplaces.
