About Carnival Unmasked – IFTR goes Cologne

The IFTR 2025 Podcast.Leading up to this years conference, which is going to be held in Cologne from June 9th until June 13th of this year, we want to dive into the vibrant, transformative, and sometimes rebellious world of carnival.This year’s theme is Performing Carnival: Ekstasis, Subversion, Metamorphosis, and we will try to get to the bottom of what that could mean over the course of the next few months.You can expect interviews with experts, conversation and discussion on carnival, Cologne, and the conference itself.
