Karthik currently is a roboticist in EMBiR Lab at the University of Michigan, where he is building legged robots for biomechanical and evolutionary research into legged locomotion of animals. He recently earned an MS in Robotics from Michigan, where he previously earned a BSE in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Later this year, he will join NASA Jet Propulsion Lab as a mechatronics engineer, building the next generation of robots to explore our solar system. Overall, Karthik's interests are in creating capable robots as tools of scientific discovery, specifically in mechanism design and controls.
