Description

In this message from Ephesians 4:25–32, we continue our Better Together series with a sermon called “Relationships That Build Up.” Paul shows us that new life in Christ does not only change what we believe; it changes how we relate to the people around us. When Jesus gives us a new identity, we are called to stop carrying old-life patterns into the relationships He is making new. In this passage, we see four ways the gospel reshapes our relationships: we commit to a life of truth, we quickly move to resolve conflict, we leverage our lives to serve others, and we respond with grace when we are hurt. Instead of lying, anger, selfishness, destructive words, and bitterness, Jesus forms in us truth, reconciliation, generosity, encouragement, kindness, compassion, and forgiveness. The big reminder is simple: when Jesus changes our lives, our relationships have to look different. www.myconnectingchurch.org

Live Different - Ephesians 4:17-24

What difference should following Jesus make in the way we actually live?   Continuing our Better Together series, Pastor Arie teaches from Ephesians 4:17 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdZtSLRrad8&t=257s]–24 and challenges us not simply to believe differently, but to live differently. Paul calls followers of Jesus to leave behind the old way of life, be renewed in the spirit of their minds, and put on the new self created to reflect the righteousness and holiness of God. In this message, Pastor Arie explores the danger of a hardened heart, the wonder of having our sins forgiven through the cross, and God’s ongoing work of making us more like Jesus. Salvation is more than escaping judgment or securing a place in heaven. God saves us so that our lives will increasingly reflect the character and glory of Christ. www.myconnectingchurch.org

Everyone is Needed - Ephesians 4:7-16

In Ephesians 4:7–16, Paul gives us an important picture of the church. It's not a place where a few people do ministry while everyone else watches, but a body where every believer is gifted, equipped, and needed. In this message from our Better Together series, Pastor Phil shows how Jesus gives grace to every believer, gives leaders to equip the church, and grows the body as every part does its work. Ministry is not just what pastors or a few key leaders do for the church, it is what the whole church does together.    If you have ever wondered where you fit, whether your gifts matter or how God wants to use your life, this sermon is a reminder that no follower of Jesus is useless or unnecessary. You have been saved by grace, brought into the body of Christ, and called to help build others up in love. www.myconnectingchurch.org

Walk Worthy - Ephesians 4:1-6

We live in a world that constantly pulls people apart. Politics, preferences, past hurts, opinions, and everyday pressures can divide us faster than we realize. But Jesus calls His church to something different. In this first message of our Better Together series, we walk through Ephesians 4:1–6 and ask: How can the church be unified when the world around us tries to pull us apart? Paul reminds us that unity is not something we create from scratch. It is something Jesus has already given us. He calls us to a new way of living together, forms the character that keeps us together, and provides the foundation for our unity. Jesus does not call us to win tug of war. He calls us to walk together. Join us Sundays at 10:00am 5 Church Creek Road Belcamp, MD 21017 www.myconnectingchurch.org
