Description

In this episode, we sit down with Chris Krupar, a lifelong singer-songwriter, performer, and sound healing practitioner whose relationship with music has evolved from performance into deeply intentional healing work. Chris shares the story of his musical journey beginning in the 1980s, when he joined his guitar teacher in a faith-based ministry band performing in prisons, detention centers, and spaces where people were searching for hope, connection, and care. Over the decades, his path would take him from intimate local venues to large-scale performances, including opening for national recording artists. Yet no matter the stage, one thing remained consistent: music had the power to shift people emotionally, spiritually, and physically. After experiencing profound personal loss, including the passing of his son, Chris found himself returning to the deeper spiritual dimensions of sound. That turning point led him toward retreat work, sound healing certification, and eventually the founding of Live Love Evolve, where he and his soulmate now support others through immersive sound experiences, healing practices, and transformational retreats. This conversation is an invitation to think differently about healing, to reflect on the frequencies we surround ourselves with, and to reconnect with the possibility that sound can help us remember who we are beneath stress, grief, and disconnection. Whether you are navigating loss, exploring holistic wellness, or simply curious about the transformative power of music and vibration, this episode offers a thoughtful and grounding conversation on healing in its fullest sense. Chris currently resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he facilitates retreats and healing experiences, while also traveling to share his beautiful sound healing work with communities and individuals across the country. Episode Forty Nine: Creative Healing Through Mindfulness with Amy Zoe Schonhoff

Amy Zoe Schonhoff is a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, speaker, and founder of Mindfulness in the Heartland. She works with individuals, communities, and workplaces to cultivate embodied wisdom through secular, trauma-sensitive mindfulness practices. With more than 30 years of contemplative practice and a life shaped by early adversity, Amy brings both professional depth and grounded humanity to her work. Rooted in a distinctly Midwestern sensibility—practical, relational, and down-to-earth—she invites a deeper connection to ourselves, to each other, and to the living world, honoring both life's challenges and its ongoing cycles of renewal. In this conversation, we explore what mindfulness really looks like in everyday life—moving beyond concept and into lived experience. We reflect on how the way we relate to ourselves creates a ripple effect, touching our families, our communities, and the wider world. Mindfulness becomes more than something we practice; it becomes a way of being that supports healing on every level. As Amy shares, a personal practice travels with us—steady, accessible, and deeply our own—offering a path back to presence, compassion, and resilience amid daily life.
