Satina.Loren

Satina Loren is one of Winnipeg’s most celebrated drag queens, being the recipient of prestigious awards and titles, including Miss Club 200 and Winnipeg’s Next Drag Superstar. Taking inspiration from fairytales, old Hollywood starlets and fantasy, her calendars and shows have raised thousands of dollars for local LGBT charities. As Empress 15 of Winnipeg and as one of the House of Gold Diamonds Divas, she’s no stranger to throwing and promoting a great party! One thing to remember is: she’s not bad, she’s just drawn that way. Go down to the Radisson Hotel on July 14th from 10am-2pm and 4pm-8pm and vote for the sole candidate for Empress 25 of Winnipeg and all of Manitoba  Follow on Instagram! @satina.loren [https://www.instagram.com/satina.loren/]

Barney Morin

You guessed it, it's Cric's wombmate! Barney Morin is a bilingual comedian from small-town Manitoba. He's written 3 one-man comedy shows for the Winnipeg Fringe Festival. He produces shows in french and english, all under the guise of creating that perfect franglais or frenglish audience. When he's not doing comedy, Barney works as the Indigneous Initiatives Coordinator for the Festival du Voyageur, the largest Winter festival in western Canada. He likes to spend time with family, on the water paddling or pretending to build things. Janelle invited on the pod to talk about being Métis, learning more about our culture and how it's a process. There may be some sibling banter Janelle had to endure.... You can catch him doing stand-up on June 13, 2024 at the Handsome Daughter. And... You can celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day at TOOT AASAAMB 2024 presented by APTN. Fri. Jun 21, 2024 5:30pm - 10:00pm EDT
