135: MURDER: Dr. Geetha Angara

On February 8, 2005, 43-year-old Dr. Geetha Angara went to work at a water treatment facility in Totowa, New Jersey, where she worked as a senior chemist. She was last seen heading to the plant’s basement to complete a routine task. But Geetha was never seen again, and hours after her shift ended, her car was still in the employee lot and her coat was at her desk. No one could explain where she had gone. After an extensive search, her body was eventually found inside one of the facility’s massive water tanks. Investigators determined she had been assaulted and then drowned. More than 20 years later, no one has been charged, and investigators are still searching for the person responsible. 134: MISSING: April Pitzer

On June 27, 2004, 30 year old April Pitzer was last seen in Newberry Springs, California, after telling loved ones she was preparing to come back home to Arkansas. She had been terrified for her life and was desperate to return, but she never made it back. In the months that followed, investigators received a series of strange and unsettling tips, including one involving a message written on a truck stop bathroom wall hundreds of miles away that appeared to reference her disappearance. Investigators eventually determined April was likely murdered. But more than 20 years later, no one has been charged, and her family is still searching for answers, her remains, and the person responsible. 132: MURDER: Oakey "Al" Kite Jr.

On May 24, 2004, co-workers of 53 year old Oakey Albert Kite Jr., who went by Al, drove to his house to check on him after he failed to show up to work - something he had never done before. Inside his Aurora, Colorado townhome, officers discovered a horrific scene. Al had been bound, tortured for hours, and killed in his own basement. The killer cleaned up, removed key evidence, and disappeared - leaving behind only a small amount of DNA and a trail that pointed to a man who wasn’t who he claimed to be. More than 20 years later, Al’s murder remains unsolved, and detectives are still working to identify the person responsible. On the evening of June 7, 1997, 26-year-old Lori Bova had dinner with her husband and sister at the Red Lobster in Lakewood, New York.  Around 12 hours later, her husband reported her missing, claiming she left their apartment in the middle of the night to go for a walk and smoke a cigarette. She was never seen or heard from again. Nearly 30 years later, Lori’s disappearance remains unsolved, and her family is still searching for answers.
