Description

What happens when God’s plans and your plans are not the same? In this episode, we explore the altar of surrender and the life-changing invitation to place our future into God’s hands. “And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest…” — Genesis 22:2 Surrender is rarely comfortable. It requires releasing our carefully constructed plans, expectations, preferences, and dreams and trusting God with what we cannot yet understand. In this devotional, we explore: • Abraham’s remarkable act of surrender on Mount Moriah • Why God often asks us to release what we hold most tightly • The connection between surrender and trust • How God’s best often begins where our control ends God did not ultimately require Isaac. He required Abraham’s willingness. The altar of surrender is not about losing everything we love. It is about loving God more than anything else and trusting Him with every part of our future. Sometimes the greatest act of faith is placing our plans on the altar and allowing God to direct the outcome. Surrender is not the end of something. It is often the beginning of everything God intends. 📖 Scripture: Genesis 22:2 🙏 Subscribe for more daily devotionals and biblical encouragement from Another Well Ministries. #ChristianPodcast #DailyDevotional #Faith #Surrender #Genesis22 #TrustGod #ChristianEncouragement #SpiritualGrowth Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. The Altar

In this episode, we begin a new devotional series exploring one of the most significant themes throughout Scripture: the altar. “And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD.” — Genesis 8:20 Throughout the Bible, men and women built altars whenever they experienced a defining encounter with God. These were not merely places of ritual. They were declarations that God had met them, changed them, and marked a moment that should never be forgotten. In this devotional, we explore: • Why altars appear throughout Scripture • How Noah, Abraham, Jacob, and others responded to encounters with God • The purpose of marking defining moments of faith • Why believers still need spiritual altars today God continues to meet people in ordinary moments. He still speaks, calls, convicts, comforts, and transforms lives. The question is not whether God is working. The question is whether we pause long enough to recognize it. Every defining encounter deserves to be remembered. Every moment of surrender, obedience, worship, or calling leaves a mark that can shape the rest of our lives. The altar is not a relic of the past. It remains an invitation for every believer today. 📖 Scripture: Genesis 8:20 🙏 Subscribe for more daily devotionals and biblical encouragement from Another Well Ministries. #ChristianPodcast #DailyDevotional #Faith #BibleStudy #ChristianLiving #Genesis #SpiritualGrowth #AnotherWellMinistries Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Bought With A Price

What changes when you truly realize your life is not your own? In today’s devotional, we reflect on Paul’s powerful words in 1 Corinthians 6 and what it means to live with the understanding that we were bought at an extraordinary cost. “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” — 1 Corinthians 6:20 The things we pay dearly for are often the things we value most carefully. But Scripture reminds us that the greatest price ever paid was not for possessions or accomplishments — it was for us. This devotional explores: • What it means to be redeemed by Christ • How the cross changes the way we view our purpose • Why believers are not drifting through life by accident • Living intentionally as someone purchased by grace You were not borrowed. Not leased. Not temporarily claimed. You were bought. The price was not money, effort, or religious performance. It was the life of the Son of God. That truth changes everything about how we should understand our lives. Purpose for the believer is not merely about career paths, ambitions, or personal fulfillment. It is about waking up each day with the understanding that your life belongs to the One who redeemed it. You are not here accidentally. You are a life that was bought, redeemed, and placed here with intention. 📖 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:20 🙏 Subscribe for more daily devotionals and biblical encouragement. #ChristianPodcast #DailyDevotional #Faith #JesusChrist #BibleStudy #ChristianEncouragement #Purpose #1Corinthians6 Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. episode Beyond the Pages artwork

Beyond the Pages

Trusting God is easier when we are looking backward. In today’s devotional, we reflect on Proverbs 3 and the challenge of trusting God not only with the stories He has already finished, but with the chapter we are living in right now. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 It is remarkable to read the stories of Scripture from the other side of history. We can see fulfilled prophecies, answered promises, and the faithfulness of God woven through every page. But living inside the story feels different. This devotional explores: • Why trust is hardest in the present moment • The danger of leaning entirely on our own understanding • How God sees the complete story when we only see the current chapter • Why faith means trusting God beyond what we can currently comprehend We see the closed door. God sees what is being prepared behind it. We see the detour. God sees where it leads. The people of Scripture trusted God without having the completed pages we now hold in our hands. And their faith became evidence that God can still be trusted in seasons we do not fully understand. Your life is not separate from that story. You are living inside a chapter of it. Trust is not the absence of questions. It is placing what we cannot understand into the hands of the One who can be trusted with it. 📖 Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 🙏 Subscribe for more daily devotionals and biblical encouragement. #ChristianPodcast #TrustGod #Faith #BibleDevotional #ChristianEncouragement #Proverbs3 #DailyDevotional Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. episode Use What You Have artwork

Use What You Have

Faith does not have to be large to be powerful. In today’s devotional, we look at Jesus’ words in Matthew 17 and the reminder that God often works through small faith that is willing to be used. “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed…” — Matthew 17:20 There are moments in life when what we have feels completely insufficient. The mountain in front of us looks too large. The problem feels impossible. And we convince ourselves we need more strength, more certainty, or more faith before we can move forward. But Jesus points to a mustard seed. One of the smallest seeds imaginable. Small enough to overlook. Small enough to underestimate. And yet Jesus says faith that small can move mountains. This devotional reflects on a moment from EMS work when improvisation became necessary because standard solutions were not enough. What mattered most was not having perfect equipment — it was being willing to use what was already available. Faith works the same way. Many believers are waiting for faith to feel bigger before they step out in obedience. But dormant faith accomplishes nothing. Small faith that is active — that prays, trusts, obeys, and moves — begins to grow. Jesus did not tell the disciples they needed more faith. He told them to use the faith they already had. The mountain in front of you does not require perfect faith. It requires willing faith. Small faith in a big God is always enough. 📖 Scripture: Matthew 17:20 🙏 Subscribe for more daily devotionals and biblical encouragement. #ChristianPodcast #Faith #BibleDevotional #TrustGod #MustardSeedFaith #ChristianEncouragement #Matthew17 Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life.
