Dillon Community Church
Guest speaker Pastor Jesse Henkle shares a message from 1 Corinthians 3 and 4 The church at Corinth struggled not because they were sinners, but because they had stopped growing. Two years into their faith, they were still spiritual infants, more focused on status and competition than on maturing in Christ. Paul uses three vivid metaphors, growing up, farming, and construction, to challenge them toward deeper faithfulness. The foundation of Jesus Christ is already laid. The real question is what each of us is choosing to build on top of it. Real power in the kingdom of God does not come from talk, status, or association with the right people. It comes from growing in the Word, in worship, and in genuine community. The temptation to compare and compete did not end with the Corinthians. It lives in every culture, including the church today. Take an honest look at what you are building right now, not what you intend to build someday.
