Healthy Aging Starts Here: The Vitamin D Level That Protects Bones, Muscles & Immunity | Dr Kiat

If I tested your blood today - would your vitamin D level be protecting you, or quietly putting you at risk?   In this episode, Dr Hosen Kiat breaks down the science behind vitamin D: when to test, what’s truly healthy, and the new research showing how the right level can slash diabetes risk by 76%.   Vitamin D isn’t just for bones. It powers your muscles, immune defense, and blood sugar balance, and may be one of the simplest ways to future-proof your health.   🌞 So what’s a Healthy Vitamin D Level? If your vitamin D is below 50 nmol/L (20 ng/mL), it’s too low. 50 nmol/L and above is usually enough for healthy bones. If you’re over 65 or have osteoporosis / chronic illness, aim higher — around 75–125 nmol/L.   People with kidney, liver, gut, or autoimmune conditions should also stay above 50 nmol/L. And if you have prediabetes or blood sugar problems, a slightly higher level may help protect you even more.   Disclaimer: By accessing this channel, you agree to comply with the following terms.
