Licensures and Launching into Residency

Welcome to Season 2 of Easy Pills to Swallow! We are back and better than ever as resident pharmacists! This episode we take some time to catch up with one another, talk about how graduation impacted us, how we navigated the licensure process in our respective states, and what the first 3 months of residency has looked like for us. This will be a year of great adventures and learning and we have been loving it thus far! Here's to our Rph era!!

Resilient Relationships through Rotations (ft. Konner Jurasek)

Konner with a K!!! You know him, you love him, you've only heard his name 800 million times on this podcast. Lexi's boyfriend joins us this week to talk about all things relationships when it comes to dating someone in pharmacy school, particularly when they are moving every 5 weeks on rotations. Konner also went to visit Lexi at most of her sites so he got to experience a little bit of the adventures! Listen in to hear about the struggles, the triumphs, and the times in-between. Rotation Reflections Pt. 8

After 11 months, we have successfully completed 8 rotations and only have one more until graduation! This episode we talk about our experiences at our acute care core in Alaska for Lexi and community core in Minnesota for Peyton. There are so many things we loved about this rotation but still things we learned and grew from as well. Lexi is making soup during this rotation so you also can come along through that adventure. There's a fun little moment at the end regarding this 5k we have been training for as well...

Residencies, Rejection, and Relief (WE MATCHED!!)

Iris joins us for this podcast to talk about the residency match process and reflecting on the journey now that we are on the other side of match day. We all matched to our top programs and are so excited to become residents this coming year!! There was a lot of time and energy that went into applying, interviewing, and anxiously waiting, but we made it through and would love to share what we learned throughout all of this.

Neuropharm and Nourishing Knowledge (ft. Dr. Craige Wrenn)

He has been mentioned in this podcast at least 4 separate times so we thought it necessary to bring him on for his own! Dr. Wrenn joins us for an episode to talk about his journey as a neuropharmacologist, how he ended up at Drake, and what he loves most about being a professor. Dr. Wrenn has made such a positive impact on so many students and we felt honored he decided to come on the pod!
