Most parents make sure that their kids say sorry when something goes wrong, and we often make sure to say we are sorry ourselves, but I think there is more to saying sorry that we can overlook. In the end, sorry is about ensuring the stabilization of the relationships we have with others. We do this by trying not to make the same mistakes again and ensuring the other person actually believes that.
