For the first time in years the boys are back on schedule with the second official episode of Season 3, THE TESTAMENT OF ORPHEUS! They discuss the film, Hadestown, try to figure out if they're watching a documentary, an autobiographical fiction film about the making of film and theatre, or a fantasy adventure through time and space. They marvel at the special effects of a film from 66 years ago. They wonder if they'll even notice when Yul shows up because he is NOT CREDITED for his appearance in this film! And, of course, they check in with the jolly Yul kid Dave, their most faithful fan and caller, who has left a record-breaking number of messages for them to review, leading to a sort of journey to the Underworld of their own past as they try to remember what they talked about in the early days of the podcast. Season 3 Premiere: Once More, with Feeling!

After a two-year break the boys are back in town for the storied SEASON 3 premiere of Here's Looking at Yul, Kid, the ONLY podcast on the internet dedicated to the filmography of Yul Brynner. It's a fresh jumping on point for the show, as the boys tackle Once More, with Feeling!, NOT the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but the 1960 film starring Yul Brynner and Kay Kendall. They recap the journey of the podcast through Yul's films to this point, ruminate on which television shows deserve musical episodes of their own, pitch potenital specials and streams and chat about the Disney corporation's handling of The Muppets. When season 2 launched we suggested that it wasn't a good first episode to listen to, but this is one our best, if we do say so ourselves. Season 2 Premiere: Solomon and Sheba & Disney's "Lion King" - in 3D!

Listen to the show that people with degrees in talking about movies are calling "anthropologically interesting!" At long last the boys are back for the beginning of season two! This time they're joined by a special guest, as Letterboxd user moreviolinsontv join them after they stumbled on her throwing shade at the show in her review of The Journey, starring Yul Brynner and our old buddy Ron. This time, however, they're watching Solomon and Sheba, which moreviolinsontv has actually watched, making her the first guest EVER on the show to actually know what she's talking about! We're gonna be honest, this is probably not the best jumping on point for the show, despite it being the season 2 premiere. Never has this podcast been more about the fact that it is, indeed, a podcast. The boys spend a lot of time asking their guest "so what do you think about this podcast?" Really, this is just a great look in to how Drake and Phil make friends and what kinds of questions they ask strangers.
