Description

Experimental spiralling session, together w/ Irina Caia (Visual Artist & Designer) on the subject of filler jobs and our dreams. Irina caia is a visual artist and a graphic designer born in Romania, currently living in Poland. at the moment, she works as a freelance graphic designer, creative director & bartender on the side. Irina loves to collaborate with people from the art industry, For example: gallerists, creators, curators, designers, and of course, other visual artists.  Her system revolves around experimental typography, as she loves textures, mixed media and working with motion graphics. Apart from these, she has a strong voice that sometimes manifests through photography & video art pieces. Irina Caia let's us take a brief look into her everyday life, working as a freelance graphic designer by day & bartender by night (or the other around). We started from defining what a “filler job” is and then we spiralled some more around subjects centering why we feel lonely, latte art and being a hairdresser (?) As we circled themes that hit close to home, we managed to present a bit of our lifestyles in relation with our filler jobs and how things really unwind. Our experiences and lifestyles are very different, but common goals are what makes our perspectives collide. The general goal is obviously to stay creative and most importantly to not lose touch with our dreams, whatever those may be. Together with Irina Caia, understand if there is really a coincidence or if there’s an intention relating to the tendency of creative people when it comes to taking a non-design related, “filler job”. As opposed to the other option of a un-fulfilling career in the domain of their choice.” Or is that just our case ? 00:00 Intro by Tomi 00:11 About High Appetite Sessions 04:00 Today's Topic: Getting a non-design job in order to be able to pursue design 04:11 Meet Irina Caia 06:09 Spiralling with Irina Caia Irina Caia https://www.instagram.com/irinacaia/ [https://www.instagram.com/irinacaia/] https://www.instagram.com/_irinacaia/ [https://www.instagram.com/_irinacaia/] High Appetite Sessions https://highappetite.cntrl.site [https://highappetite.cntrl.site] https://www.instagram.com/high.appetite.sessions/ [https://www.instagram.com/high.appetite.sessions/] Type in use : Authentic Sans by Christina Janus and Desmond Wong Megumi by Dave Rowland Type Intro by Tomi https://www.instagram.com/tomi_la_segue/ [https://www.instagram.com/tomi_la_segue/] Concept & Graphics by Ștefania Varodi
