High Strangeness: A Family’s Bigfoot Sighting, Hat Man Encounter, and UFOs in Utah   On High Strangeness, the host interviews Phil, Connie, Jen, and McKayla about multiple unexplained experiences tied to Utah. After years working at East Fork of the Bear River Scout Camp in the Uintas, they first noticed unusual woven log “teepee” structures; in 2016 Jen heard an eerie, single howling/guttural sound amid total forest silence and later learned others found what they thought was a “bear track.” The next year Connie saw a roughly nine-foot, dark-brown, hair-covered humanoid figure with long arms walking upright along a ridge about 150 yards away. McKayla describes five silent, low, solid-orange aerial lights on July 4, 2023 near Kearns Park that moved steadily and blinked out. October 11, 1973: A Silent, Pulsing UFO Encounter in Louisiana During the 1973 Wave   The episode of High Strangeness revisits the major 1973 UFO wave, focusing on a firsthand witness from southwestern Louisiana who, on October 11, 1973 around 8:00–8:15 p.m., went with a friend into rural darkness to look for reported activity. They observed a silent light moving west to east that stopped, turned from red to emerald green, descended at an angle, then pulsated red, green, and orange, shifted to brilliant yellow when they blinked car lights, briefly turned purple, appeared to drop something, hovered about 100 feet high and within roughly 50 yards, and vanished instantly. The next day a student independently described similar lights over town, and a local newspaper report described red/green lights and something dropping out around 8:15.
