Loved to Life: Sowing the Seeds - Christine Saywell

The book of Hosea reminds us of God's unwavering love and His desire for a close relationship with His people. Israel didn't turn away from God overnight. Small compromises, divided loyalties, and neglected priorities slowly led them away from Him. Yet even in their wandering, God continued to pursue them with grace and compassion. A key lesson from Hosea is the principle of sowing and reaping. Every thought, attitude, decision, and action is a seed that will eventually produce a harvest. The challenge is that growth often happens slowly. The seeds we plant today may not show fruit immediately, but over time they shape the direction of our lives. The good news is that through Jesus Christ, we are not defined by our past failures. His death and resurrection have provided forgiveness, freedom, and a new beginning. We are invited to leave old patterns behind and sow seeds of faith, kindness, forgiveness, prayer, worship, and obedience. Every day is an opportunity to plant something that reflects God's kingdom. Small acts of faithfulness may seem insignificant, but God uses them to transform hearts, families, communities, and future generations. As Hosea declares, "Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love." What seeds are you planting today, and what harvest are you trusting God to bring in the future?

Loved to Life: Invited into Relationship - Christine Saywell

Life can leave people carrying hurt, disappointment, fear, and exhaustion beneath the surface. Yet God’s love meets us deeply and personally, bringing healing, hope, and restoration where it’s needed most. His love softens hardened places in our hearts, reminds us who we are in Him, and brings us from despair into life. The story of Hosea paints a beautiful picture of God’s heart toward His people. Even after wandering away and forgetting Him, God continued to pursue them with compassion and faithfulness. Again and again, He reached out with mercy instead of rejection. His love was always greater than their failure. God does not simply invite us into religion or routine — He invites us into relationship. Knowing Him is not just about facts or information; it is about walking closely with Him every day. As we spend time with Him, our hearts begin to change. We become more compassionate, more forgiving, and more aware of His presence in every season of life. It is easy for distractions and busyness to slowly take priority in our lives, but God lovingly calls us back to Himself. True peace, rest, and security are found in Him alone. No matter what struggles or uncertainties we face, God remains faithful. He is our comfort, refuge, and strength. As we receive His love, we are also called to share it — encouraging one another, praying for one another, and helping others experience the hope and life found in Jesus.

Loved to Life: Relentless Love - Christine Saywell

Relentless Love Life can leave deep wounds. Most of us know what it feels like to be hurt, disappointed, or let down by others. The book of Hosea gives us a deeply personal picture of God’s love in the middle of that pain. Even when His people turned away from Him, God didn’t give up. He continued to pursue them with mercy, compassion, and faithfulness. Our new series, Loved to Life, is about discovering that same love for ourselves. God’s love is not distant or conditional. It reaches into the broken places of our hearts to heal, restore, and bring new life. Hosea’s story reminds us that even when people fail, God remains faithful. Sometimes life feels messy and overwhelming, but God invites us to bring every part of ourselves to Him — our pain, our questions, and even our failures. His desire is to replace fear and chaos with peace and hope. As we journey through this series together, may we experience the depth of God’s love in fresh ways and learn how to extend that same grace and compassion to others. *This text is produced using original content from our Sunday Service with the assistance of AI

episode Filled with the Holy Spirit - Christine Saywell artwork

Filled with the Holy Spirit - Christine Saywell

Across Aotearoa and around the world, churches have been gathering in prayer between Ascension and Pentecost, believing for a fresh move of God. Many believers are sensing a fresh stirring of faith, a desire for renewal, and a deep longing for the presence of God to rest over New Zealand like a long white cloud of glory. Pentecost reminds us that the Holy Spirit is not distant or reserved for a moment in history. He is God with us today — bringing comfort, courage, conviction, wisdom, and transformation. The Holy Spirit is not simply a feeling or an experience, but the very presence of God living within every believer. On Sunday we had a powerful reminder that spiritual growth is not about performance, striving, or pretending to have it all together. God invites us instead to surrender, to make room for His Spirit, and to allow Him to gently transform our hearts day by day. He will change us from the inside out, and that's an incredible miracle. As a church family, there is a sense that God is leading His people into deeper waters — not backwards into routine religion, but forward into fresh encounters with His presence. The prayer remains simple: “Fill me, Holy Spirit.” Fill us with confidence in Christ, comfort in hardship, and transformation that makes us more like Jesus.

episode A Place to Belong - John Dawson artwork

A Place to Belong - John Dawson

For 75 years, God has faithfully woven together generations of people, prayers, and stories into a spiritual family built on His grace. Through every season — times of growth, challenge, renewal, and change — His faithfulness has remained constant. The church has always been more than a building. It is a place where people are welcomed, encouraged, and reminded that they belong in God’s story. Many lives have been shaped through quiet acts of service, faithful prayer, hospitality, and obedience to Jesus. Seeds planted years ago continue to bear fruit in families, communities, and ministries today. Every person carries a unique inheritance from God. He places us in families and communities for a purpose, calling us to walk faithfully with Him and trust Him with the future. As we look ahead, we do so with hope. The future is not built through striving or human effort alone, but through the leading of the Holy Spirit. God is still healing hearts, restoring lives, and calling new generations to follow Him with courage and faith. Our prayer is simple: “Yes, Lord.” Yes to His leading, His mercy, and His purpose for our church, our city, and the generations still to come.
