Today we’re joined by Michelle Webb, a driving force behind Longmont Colorado's emerging punk scene. She founded Hell Yes Music Promotions in 2025, and brought together collaborators to produce the city's first major punk show in well over a decade. She also created and manages the Instagram profile LongmontPunk, a platform dedicated to amplifying and connecting the local alternative music community across many genres. She cares deeply about expanding the range of music in her community. She's creating safe spaces where people of all ages feel like they belong, while simultaneously advocating for fair pay to be given to musicians. Sylvia Massy Episode 9

On this episode of Hot Pot Poddie, we sit down with legendary producer and engineer Sylvia Massy. She formally received a Grammy in 2024 for her engineering/mixing work on Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit's Weathervanes.  We dive into her incredible 45 year career working with artists like Tool, Johnny Cash, Prince and System of a Down. We chat about recording experimentation, vintage microphones, and her new book The Great Vintage Microphone Book. We also got the goods on her favorite mic for female vocals, the RCA KU3A ribbon mic.
