As much as I loved the idea of knowing, I had reservations when it came to knowing God because it felt intimidating, considering how big God is. But as I walked through this journey with Him, I came to understand that being a Christian means living a life of knowing God, and that God Himself desires to be known by us. In the second episode of the Hulet Besa podcast, I talk about knowing God and what we can do to know Him more. I believe this is foundational because the main theme of this podcast is a life fully devoted to God, and devotion starts with knowing whom we are giving our devotion to. When I returned to Christ after many years of doing life apart from God, I came across a two line poem that goes like this:I was found before I was lost, I was Yours before I was not.Although God and the Church were a big part of my early childhood, I drifted away quickly and got caught up in the world. Yet in His goodness, the Lord found me and drew me back to Himself, this time with a deeper understanding of His nature that anchors me.In this first episode, I share my personal testimony of how I came to Christ, starting with my childhood and reflecting on how God has met me with mercy especially through my struggles with depression and its impact on my life.I hope this encourages you and helps you see God in His compassion and lovingkindness.
