Refined To Be Used

In this episode of I’m Just a Girl, we talk about what it means to become a vessel God can truly use. Before God uses you publicly, He often forms you privately and sometimes that formation looks like fire. Refinement is uncomfortable, stretching, and deeply humbling, but it is not punishment. It is preparation for carrying glory. This conversation unpacks the painful but necessary process of surrendering control, walking through heartbreak, loss, uncertainty, and realising that no plan we create for ourselves could ever surpass what God has already prepared for us. Sometimes we think we need a complicated solution to our struggles, when all God has been asking for is surrender. To cry out to Him. To sit at His feet. To listen. When Obedience Costs You

Rachael and I yappppp about our battles with control and what surrending it has cost us. We unpack what it really means to surrender control and choose obedience, even when it costs you. JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL (FOR REAL THIS TIME)

In this episode, I discuss my personal journey of letting go of the obsessive need I had for control to allow God to take control. I share how that need for control was rooted in a fear that God would never provide it. So I constantly felt like I had to build my dream life myself because I had nobody BUT me.  I share the journey of how God's consistent denial was His silent call for me to trust Him and rest in who He is. I unpack how He fixed my clouded sense of perfection, greatness and success and allowed me to rest in the knowledge that He was the architect of my destiny and author of my faith.  For anyone out there who feels lost, clings to control as a false sense of having identity, I hope my story reminds you of a God that truly is for you.

Hidden but Held

In this episode, my friend Bryte and I discuss how God often takes you through a season of isolation so that you can fix your eyes on Him. This often looks like an intense season of change where what felt familiar now feels foreign. This season often changes our relationships with others, understanding of self, how we view our purpose and destinies as well as the decision and actions we have taken to live a life that is righteous in the sight of God.  We unpack how God sometimes has to break you to position you so that you can be in alignment with the purpose and plan He has for you. We draw from personal experiences where we walked through a season of pruning, stillness, or quiet transformation.
