EPISODE 59: Feeling Safe in Your Body: The Missing Link to Confidence, Boundaries, & Aliveness
Lately, the phrase “feeling safe in your body” is everywhere.
But what does that actually mean?
In this episode, I’m recording straight from Costa Rica after hosting a deeply transformative women’s retreat and I’m breaking down what I see over and over again in women who feel stuck, anxious, disconnected, or afraid to take the next step in their lives.
In this episode, I share why feeling unsafe in the body is at the root of anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, disconnection, body shame, and the constant sense that something is wrong even when life looks “fine” on the outside.
This isn’t something you fix by thinking harder. This isn’t something you heal by DOING more.
Safety is cultivated through the body.
When emotions were too much, too fast, or too soon — and never fully completed ,they don’t disappear. They live in the body as tension, contraction, hypervigilance, numbness, or shutdown. And from that place, it becomes nearly impossible to trust yourself, hear your desires, or take aligned action.
In this episode, I walk you through:
* How to recognize when your body doesn’t feel safe
* Why disembodiment has become an epidemic for women
* How trauma, boundary violations, and emotional suppression live in the nervous system
* And what becomes possible when safety is restored from the inside out
Feeling safe in your body changes how you relate to money, relationships, work, creativity, rest, and yourself.
It’s the difference between surviving your life and actually inhabiting it.
If you feel like you’re constantly in your head, stuck in fear, disconnected from your desires, or longing to feel at home in yourself again, this episode is for you.
