About Inner Sanctuary: The Journey Home

Inner Sanctuary: The Journey Home is an invitation to return to yourself, your sovereignty, and a more deeply connected, intentional way of living. For those ready to step out of unconscious patterns and reclaim the power to choose how they live from within, creating a life that reflects who they truly are, not who they were molded to be. A remembering of what was never lost, only disconnected from. Alongside this inner return, it follows the real-time building of a homestead sanctuary, in co-creation with the land.

E3: Poetry as a Portal to Peace

What if peace doesn’t always come from changing your circumstances… but from changing the way you see and relate to them? In this episode of Inner Sanctuary: The Journey Home, Raquel shares how poetry became a space to sit honestly with grief, uncertainty, emotional intensity, and the hidden ways we resist life itself. Through reflections on death, life, motherhood, creative expression, and the ego’s subtle survival strategies, this conversation explores how curiosity, compassion, and self-acceptance can create the inner safety for honesty, clarity, and peace to emerge. This is not a conversation about “fixing yourself.” It’s about learning how to be with yourself. It’s about embracing humanity. In this episode: * How poetry became a tool for processing emotional intensity * The connection between resistance and suffering * What it means to “be with what is” * How honesty creates clarity * The ego’s ways: defend, protect, hide, and prove * Creating inner safety through curiosity, compassion, and tenderness * Why peace may not come from changing life… but from changing our relationship to it This episode is for you if: * You’re moving through grief, uncertainty, or a major life transition * You tend to avoid, suppress, or resist difficult emotions * You long to feel more connected to yourself * You’re learning to embrace your humanity instead of fighting it * You’re craving a softer, more honest way of relating to life ✨ Includes an original poem written after the crossing over of Raquel’s mother:New Beginning ✨ If this episode resonated with you, share it with someone moving through grief, a life transition, or the messy beauty of being human.

episode E2:Unlearning Hard Work: Money, Worthiness & Expansion artwork

E2:Unlearning Hard Work: Money, Worthiness & Expansion

In this episode of Inner Sanctuary: The Journey Home, Raquel explores the hidden layers beneath the identity of being a “hard worker.”  This is not a conversation about avoiding work. It’s an exploration of what happens when striving becomes identity, when depletion becomes proof of being deserving and questioning the stories about value, success, sacrifice, and receiving. Through personal storytelling, reflections on lineage, identity unraveling, nervous system recalibration, motherhood, sovereignty, and the natural laws that shape how we experience reality, this episode opens space to consider a different way of relating to life, contribution, and money. If you’ve ever felt caught between survival and thriving… proving and knowing… force and flow… this episode may speak to something  within you. In This Episode: * The hidden identity beneath “hard work” * How worthiness and money can become unconsciously linked * Survival patterns, self-abandonment, and achievement * Identity unraveling and the liminal space between who we were and who we truly are * Service, contribution, and conscious living * Motherhood and inviting our children into daily rituals and rhythms * Redefining, reorienting, and shifting the relationship with work  * Money, expansion, and shifting what we are available for * The natural laws of the universe as guiding principles * Returning to inner alignment, sovereignty, and choice Resources Mentioned: * Hunt, Gather, Parent by Michaeleen Doucleff [https://michaeleendoucleff.com/hunt-gather-parent/] * YOU ARE MONEY by Brian Scott [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANdn_xnnsBE] * Amma [https://amma.org/] * Peter Crone Mastermind [petercrone.com/mastermind] * 12 Laws of the Universe by  Manhardeep Singh  [https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/12-laws-of-the-universe-manhardeep-singh/1145679163] * Be Smart, Pay Zero Taxes by Mark J. episode E1: The Day I Realized I Had a Choice artwork

E1: The Day I Realized I Had a Choice

In this first episode, I share a moment where so much began to shift. I thought I was doing everything “right,” yet I felt deeply unfulfilled. The question, How can I be so unfulfilled?  led me on a journey of questioning the foundations I had been living within, from food and health to education, work, money, birth, parenting and more. This episode explores the shift from living on autopilot to recognizing that I had a choice, and what it means to begin living from the inside out. It’s also an introduction to this podcast and the real-time journey of building a homestead and sanctuary with my family, as an outer expression of the inner journey home. A glimpse into this episode: * A pivotal moment when everything began to shift, sharing a poem about this time in my life * How this moment transformed the way I relate to my life which sparked the  beginning of a 17-year journey of self-discovery and coming home to myself * Moving from living through “shoulds” and expectations to choosing from internal alignment * Questioning the systems I was unconsciously living within * A new way of relating to my  body as something to listen to, rather than fix or control * Letting go of right/wrong thinking  * What it means to live from an internal compass rather than external conditioning * An introduction to the deeper themes of this podcast: connection, sovereignty, and whole-systems living * A glimpse into the real-time creation of our homestead and sanctuary, co-created with the land
