LBC Sermon Archive
Pilate's fear intensified when the Jews declared Jesus was the Son of God, leading to one of history's most dramatic courtroom scenes. Despite knowing Jesus was innocent, Pilate chose political security over truth when threatened with losing Caesar's favor. Jesus remained silent, fulfilling prophecy, because Pilate had already rejected the truth presented to him. This pivotal moment reveals that neutrality toward Christ is impossible - we either stand with Him or against Him. The same Jesus who stood bound before Pilate's judgment seat will one day sit on the eternal judgment seat where all humanity must appear.
