episode Brandon Lee: "And Yet, It All Seems Limitless" (Part 2) artwork

Brandon Lee: "And Yet, It All Seems Limitless" (Part 2)

We take a deep look into Brandon's final movie, and the negligence that led to his completely preventable death. We also explore a more recent, despicable on-set accident which took the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.  Note 1: (spoilers for "Game of Death"): I incorrectly stated that Bruce Lee's character gets killed in this movie; rather, his character fakes his own death after an assassination attempt. The point still stands that it was a crucial yet ignoble talking point after Brandon's death. What's even more striking is that Bruce died before the completion of this film, and the film was still salvaged and released with the help of stunt doubles...just like what would happen with his son's final film, decades later. Note 2: At the time of recording this episode, "Rust" had no release date. As of the publication of this episode, "Rust" is scheduled to open on May 2, 2025. Elizabeth Short: Beyond the Black Dahlia

On January 15, 1947, a young woman's murdered body was found in a vacant lot in Los Angeles. In the aftermath, the press hindered police efforts to solve the case in a mad scramble to get a good story - at the expense of a young woman's truth and reputation. This is the life, and new legacy, of Elizabeth Short.
