About Let’s Meditate, In a Different Way

A podcast dedicated to bringing the practice of meditation to people, in a different way. I believe that meditation is something individual to a person, and that there is no right or "wrong" way to do it, just perhaps a way that could be improved upon. So much of the modern-day meditation books and practices have pieces that focus too much on the "conscious mind" and end up just pushing anxiety down deep inside of us so that it manifests as emotional outbursts and dysregulation - shit that's been repressed for YEARS. Then those things come out on our partners, friends, co-workers, and family. So much conflict occurs, with emotional reactions so intense they don't even make sense in the moment. It's during meditation that we also need to learn to get into our body, and connect the mind to it. A third connection that has to be made, has to be to some form of "spirituality." I put this in quotes, because I do not mean God, Gods, Goddesses, religious doctrine - rather I mean connection to something outside of self. Such as nature. That could simply be going out camping every now and then, and seeing what you uncover yourself when your away from technology and the hustle and bustle of the world. Maybe that's sitting in the park talking to a tree - whether it answers or not, they do to me. We want people to Learn to Meditate, in a Different Way.

Episode 2 - Let's Connect to the Water

I hope everyone did indeed take something from the first episode, just as an introduction to what it's like to start focusing on your breath - maybe in a different way than you've tried. It doesn't mean my way is the "right" way, but try it at least -make it your own after you practice it my way a little first - there is often a reason the breathing is explained in a certain way. It activates different parts of your anatomy and allows in turn different exchanges of oxygen through your body. This helps you get more in tune with the body, sitting and moving around. Utilize this breath in your yoga practice, Pilates, work out routine, whatever you may be doing. See how you can make your breath move and open up restrictions in your body just by breathing properly. Sometimes things come up when you do. Great! If they are emotional, then write them down! Get them down on paper so you can explore them - UNobsessively, you know who you are - and begin to learn how to neutralize that trapped energy by making peace with a conflict.  This meditation lesson focuses not on the conflict itself, but rather the theme that must be focused on to resolve the conflict.  https://noteverythingmatters.com [https://noteverythingmatters.com]
