Communication. It is a big, broad word. Communication happens verbally, visually, audibly, through the written word, and who knows, maybe even telepathically. Used effectively, communication has the power to unite cultures, divide nations, spark war, or ignite life-changing reform.
But no matter who you are, what you do for a living or where you live on this planet, you are - we are - invariably engaging in some form of communication every day.
My name is Adam Hicks and I want to explore the ways, purposes, methods and outcomes of our numerous lines of communication. I want to use my experiences as a classroom teacher and as a communications professional in the world of college athletics as a springboard to those experiences of professionals from diverse fields and backgrounds. I want to help highlight ideas and practices of those communicating in the fields of education, PR, technology, law, medicine, business… you name it. I want to connect you with them.
