Widow's Bay Season 1 Review: My Favorite Show of the Year | Horror, Comedy & Quirky Patricia

Widows Bay Season 1 on Apple TV is my favorite show of the year so far, blending horror, comedy, mystery, and small-town weirdness into one of the most entertaining and original series of 2026. In this Widow's Bay Season 1 review, I'm sharing why this horror-comedy completely won me over. From the show's eerie atmosphere and supernatural mysteries to its sharp humor and unforgettable characters, Widow's Bay consistently surprised me from episode to episode. And then there's Patricia (Kate O'Flynn). Patricia quickly became one of my favorite TV characters of the year. They think he is soft and cowardly. And he is. But Loftis is determined to build a better future for his teenage son and turn the island into a tourist destination. Miraculously, he succeeds: tourists are finally coming. Unfortunately, the locals were right. After decades of calm, the old stories that seemed too ludicrous to be true, start happening again.
