Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia announced plans build The Line, a smart linear metropolis that would be constructed vertically, have no roads or vehicles, and operate exclusively on renewable energy. The Saudi government has recently released drawings of what The Line may look like when it is completed. Construction plans reveal that it will be 200 meters (656 feet) wide, 500 meters (1,640 feet) tall, and 170 kilometers (105 miles) long.
