Episode 51: The Real Reason You Can’t Make a Decision

Welcome to Men, Menopause & Miracles. The podcast where midlife women get to stop performing and start telling themselves the truth. This is a space for honest conversations, nervous-system ex-hales, unexpected laughter, and the kind of reflections that make you rethink what’s actually possible in this season of life. We talk about relationships, reinvention, hormones, desire, identity, grief, courage, boundaries, pleasure, and the beautifully unpolished reality of being a woman in midlife. Oh my!  This is a podcast where midlife women are reminded that they are not disappearing… they are finally arriving in their own lives.  I’m Suzanne, your host and Your Midlife Wingwoman, helping women rebuild self-trust in the season where everything familiar starts asking deeper questions. Through honest conversations and practical perspective shifts, I help midlife women stop abandoning themselves and start making decisions that actually feel like home. This is Episode 51: The Real Reason You Can’t Make a Decision There’s a specific kind of exhaustion that doesn’t come from doing too much. It comes from thinking too much. From replaying conversations in your head. Researching every option. Analyzing every angle. Asking five friends or family what they think. Waiting for certainty before making a move. Today we’re talking about:  the exhaustion of overthinking, why intelligent women still hesitate, and the identity recalibration that happens in midlife that no one really prepares us for. So, if you’ve been stuck in indecision lately, circling the same thoughts, questioning yourself constantly, this episode is for you. Listen on Spotify, Apple, iHeart and also YouTube. Self-trust isn’t built by never doubting yourself. It’s built by collecting evidence that your inner voice has been wise all along. If this episode resonated with you, if you’ve been stuck in overthinking, indecision, or feeling disconnected from your own voice, I want you to know this:  * Totally normal. * You are likely in a season of recalibration. * And sometimes you don’t need more information. You need support reconnecting to yourself. This is why I created my free one-hour midlife coaching session: “Stop Second-Guessing Yourself: 5 Shifts to Finally Trust Your Next Decision.” Coming up on Thursday May 28th (two weeks from today) at 2:00pmPST / 5:00pmEST This is for women who know there’s more—and are ready to trust themselves again or more. This session is designed for women in midlife who are tired of circling the same decisions, indecision limbo, and ready to move forward with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust in this season. Because your life cannot fully change while you remain emotionally parked in hesitation. And this hour is open to any women of any age, because we’re all just learning here right?. Go to www.yourmidlifewingwoman.com [http://www.yourmidlifewingwoman.com] for details and to Reserve Your Spot today. And maybe your next decision is not asking you to become someone else. Maybe it’s finally asking you to become yourself.  If this episode helped you reconnect with your own inner voice or trust yourself a little more today, make sure you Like, Follow, or Subscribe so you don’t miss future conversations inside our midlife circle here.  And share this episode with a friend who’s been stuck in overthinking, hesitation, or carrying the pressure of trying to make the “right” decision all the time. Sometimes the reminder another woman needs most is this: you do not have to have everything figured out to move forward.  I’m Suzanne — Your Midlife Wingwoman. And this is Men, Menopause & Miracles. I’ll see you next Monday. Same time, same space. Until then, take care. Bye for now! #midlifewomen #self-trust #men #menopause #miracles

Episode 50: Motherhood, Midlife & Becoming Again

Welcome to Men, Menopause & Miracles. The podcast where midlife women get to acknowledge all the pieces and parts of themselves. This is a space for honest conversations around men, menopause, miracles, midlife transitions, emotionalhealing, and the powerful rediscovery of the woman underneath it all. We talk about the things women carry quietly. Menopause, motherhood, relationships, identity shifts, emotional exhaustion, healing, purpose, and the courage it takes to become yourself again.  This is a  podcast where midlife women are reminded thatthis season of life is not the ending of who they are, but the awakening of who they were always meant to become. Here we get to acknowledge all the pieces of ourselves. I’m Suzanne, your host and Your Midlife Wingwoman. I’m here to help women feel seen through the transitions of midlife and reminded that this season can still beone of healing, growth, rediscovery, and becoming. Together, we’ll have honest conversations that help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to become who you’re meant to be next. This is Episode 50: Motherhood, Midlife & Becoming Again. Today I’m speaking about mothers and the profound pain, sacrifice, transformation, and miracles involved in bringing life, love, and care into this world. This episode is an emotional doorway to all women and one that widens the definition of motherhood beyondbiology. In midlife, there are mothers who are going through the empty nesting in this season and there are many women who carry invisible versions of mothering. Motherhood is the state or experience of being a mother. In the context of motherhood, "state" refers to a person's specific condition, status, or mode of being at a given time. And I believe at any given time, we being women, are called in ways to mother. So yes, today, I’m speaking about mothers with yesterday being Mother’s Day.   Listen on Spotify, Apple, iHeart or now on YouTube. As a coach and Your Midlife Wingwoman, I don’t believe women in midlife need fixing. I believe they need support, space, guidance, and honest conversations that help them hear their own voice again. Because midlife has a way of asking women powerful questions: What do I need now? What do I want now? Who am I becoming now? And sometimes having someone walk beside you while you rediscover those answers can change everything. To answer these questions make time for yourself and join me for “Stop Second-Guessing Yourself: 5 Shifts to Finally Trust Your Next Decision” on May 28th. This is a free, one-hour virtual  Midlife Coaching Session for women who now there’smore—and are ready to trust themselves again. Go to www.yourmidlifewingwoman.com [http://www.yourmidlifewingwoman.com] for details and to Reserve Your Spot. Midlife truth: Many women have spent years holding everyone else together while quietly losing connection to themselves.Permission slip: You are allowed to return to yourself now. If this episode made you feel seen in any way, make sure you Like, Follow, or Subscribe so you don’t miss future conversations inside our midlife circle here. And if another woman came to mind while listening, someone carrying the invisible weight of caregiving, motherhood, or trying to rediscover herself underneath it all, share this episode with her. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give another woman is the reminder that she’s not alone.  You can always reach out to me with your questions, stories and more at yourmidlifewingwoman@gmail.com [yourmidlifewingwoman@gmail.com] I’m Suzanne — Your Midlife Wingwoman. And this is Men, Menopause & Miracles. Midlife isn’t a closing chapter for women. It’s often the first-time life asks them who they are beyond who everyone else needs them to be. Midlife isn’t your disappearance. It’s yourreintroduction. It’s where the usefulness you’ve provided to others finally gets to be explored in ways you may need it. I’ll see you next Monday. Episode 49: Resilience - Learning to Love the Hard Things w/ Ron Drews

Welcome to Men, Menopause & Miracles—the podcast where we explore what it really means to feel strong in midlife… not just when life is smooth, but when it stretches you, challenges you, and asks you to meet yourself in entirely new ways. Today’s conversation sits right at that edge. Because at some point in midlife, the strategies that once worked—pushing through, thinking your way out, staying in control—stopworking. And what replaces them isn’t always obvious. Sometimes, it starts in the most unexpected place… like your breath. I’m Suzanne, your host and Your Midlife Wingwoman. I’m here to help you navigate this season of life with more awareness, more intention, and a deeper connection to your body—especially when it’s asking you to do things differently. If you’ve been feeling the tension between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming… this conversation is going to meet you right there. Let’s get into it. This is Episode 49: Resilience: Learning to Love the Hard Things. Today’s guest is living proof that mind over matter isn’t just a concept—it’s a way of living that invites you to do the very things you once avoided. Ron Drews has built a remarkable career behind the scenes of some of the world’s biggestproductions—from the Olympics to Star Wars, American Idol, and the Grammy Awards—earning multiple Technical Emmy Awards along the way.  But what’s most compelling about Ron isn’t just what he’s built… it’s how he’s chosen to live. His path has taken him into extreme environments, deep personal challenges, andultimately into the work he now shares—breathwork, cold exposure, and mindful living—as tools for resilience, clarity, and vitality. Today, we’ll explore what happens when a man who has spent decades building, achieving, and performing at a high level is brought face-to-face with physical limitations, anxiety, and the unknown—and how that led him into breathwork, cold exposure, and a completely different relationship with challenge. This is a conversation about pushing limits… but also about listening. About adventure… but also surrender. Listen on Spotify, Apple, iHeart and now also on YouTube. And please send your questions or story interests to me at yourmidlifewingwoman@gmail.com Whether you’re wanting to reduce anxiety, struggling with your health and high stress levels, or simply looking forinspiration — you can find Ron at Best Life Breath Workshops by emailing him directly at rdrews@thewellness7.com [rdrews@thewellness7.com] and also find him on LinkedIn. His next Best Life Breath Workshop is on May 17th. There’s something powerful about realizing that strengthisn’t just about pushing harder… sometimes it’s about pausing, breathing, and choosing to meet yourself differently. In wrapping up today, here’s what I hope you take with you:Ron’s story reminds us that the edge we spend so much time avoiding is often the very place our strength is rebuilt—not by pushing harder, but by learning how to breathe, listen, and respond differently. It also reminds us that midlife isn’t a decline to manage—it’s an invitation to relate to your body, your fear, and your life with a new kind of awareness… one that allows you to move forward with resilience, intention, and a deeper trust in yourself. If this episode sparked a new way of thinking about anxiety, breath and believing that good is on the other side of your challenges make sure to Like, Subscribe, or Follow so you don’t miss what’s next. New episodes drop every Monday, and you can also watch this conversation on YouTube. And if someone you know is navigating midlife and pain newor old and wondering how to approach it in a new light, share this episode with them. Send them some love. Episode 48: The Miracle of Pain

Welcome to Men, Menopause & Miracles. The podcast where midlife women stop fighting their pain… and start listening to what it’s been trying to say all along. This is a space for the woman who’s been pushing through the aches, the tension, the exhaustion…the physical discomfort that seems to have arrived uninvited, the emotional weight that’s harder to ignore, and the quiet mental noise that keeps asking for something more.  Here, we take a different approach. We don’t rush to fix it. We don’t silence it. We lean in. Because pain in this season isn’t just something to manage…it’s something that can guide you. We talk about the body in midlife… hormones, inflammation, fatigue, and the signals you may have learned to override. We explore the emotional layers… grief, resentment, and the parts of you that are asking to be felt. And we look at the deeper truth… that pain, in all its forms, can be an invitation back to yourself. This is where you begin to understand that what feels like a breakdown…might actually be your life asking you to live in a way that finally supports you. And that… just might bethe miracle. I’m Suzanne, your host and Your Midlife Wingwoman. I’m here to help you turn toward your pain with curiosity instead of resistance, so you can understand what your body, your emotions, and your inner voice are truly asking for in this season of midlife.  This is Episode 48: The Miracle of Pain. Take a listen here on Spotify, Apple, or iHeart. Also, now on YouTube to watch or listen. Email me with your thoughts, stories or suggestions at: yourmidlifewingwoman@gmail.com You don’t need to be the woman who ignores the signalsanymore. You get to be the woman who listens. Who adjusts. Who honors what’s real. Pain isn’t here to break you. It’s here to bring you back…to yourself. If this episode shifted the way you see your pain… even slightly…make sure you Like, Follow or Subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next in our midlife circle here. And if someone inyour life is quietly navigating their own pain…share this with them. It might be exactly what they needed to hear today. I’m Suzanne — Your Midlife Wingwoman. And this is Men, Menopause & Miracles. Midlife isn’t just about what’s changing around you…it’s about what your body, your mind, and your soul are finally asking you to feel…so you can live in a way that truly supports you. Episode 47: How Good It Can Get In Midlife w/ Terry Tateossian

Welcome to Men, Menopause & Miracles, the podcast where midlife women explore strength in all its forms. Physical, emotional, and personal. This is a space for conversations about becoming, rebuilding, and redefining what it means to feel powerful in your body and your life. Here, we talk about men, hormones, muscle, nourishment, beauty, and the shifts that happen when the rules you followed no longer work, and you begin listening more closely to yourself instead. I’m Suzanne, your host and Your Midlife Wingwoman. I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate the changes of midlife, reconnect with your body, and choose practices that support who you are now, not who you used to be. This podcast is a place for women in midlife who are ready to use their resilience, trust their intuition, and step into this season with clarity, strength, and intention. This is Episode 47: How Good It Can Get In Midlife. What if the most powerful thing you could do in midlife wasn’t to eat less or push harder, but to build more? Today’s conversation is about strength. Not the kind you see in a mirror, but the kind that steadies your hormones, protects your metabolism, and changes how you move through thisseason of life. We’ve been told menopause is a slow surrender. Less energy, less strength, and less control. Today’s guest is living proof that this story is outdated. Terry Tateossian lost 80 pounds in her early 40s and discovered that resistance training and proper nutrition weren’t just tools for weight loss, they were the missing link for navigatingperimenopause and menopause with confidence. Terry now teaches women why building muscle before, during, and after menopause isn’t optional, it’s essential. If you’ve ever felt like your body stopped responding to the rules you were taught, this conversation might change how you see strength, food, and what’s possible in midlife. What if menopause wasn’t the beginning of decline, but the beginning of strength? Take a listen on Spotify, Apple, or iHeart. Also now on YouTube too. Reach out to me with your comments, questions or stories at yourmidlifewingwoman@gmail.com This conversation is a powerful reminder that strength, muscle, and nourishment matter at every stage of life. If there’s one takeaway today, it’s this: muscle is not aboutappearance, it’s about resilience. Whether you’re facing burnout, struggling with your health, or simply looking for inspiration — you can find Terry at http://www.thehouseofrose.com [http://www.houseofrose.com/] or her Instagramprofile @how.good.can.it.get where she has links to Cookbooks & Recipes, 13 Mocktail Recipes, 1:1 Macro Nutrition Consultation, Yoga & Fitness Retreats and more! Be sure to check out her new free macro calculator. As we wrap up today, here’s what I hope you take with you:midlife strength is built, not lost. It’s built through nourishment, through resistance, through choosing to work with your body instead of fighting it. Terry’s story reminds us that change doesn’t requireperfection. It requires commitment, curiosity, and the courage to try something different when the old ways stop serving you. If this episode sparked a new way of thinking about yourbody, your hormones, or what’s possible in this season, make sure to Like, Subscribe, or Follow so you don’t miss what’s next. New episodes drop every Monday, and you can also watch this conversation on YouTube. And if someone you love is navigating midlife and wonderingif it’s too late to feel strong again, share this episode with them. Send them some love. Sometimes the right story arrives right on time. I’m Suzanne - Your Midlife Wingwoman. And this is Men,Menopause & Miracles. I’ll see you next Monday. Until then, take care. Bye for now!
