A band of adventurers delves into a sealed alabaster elven temple rumored to hold the Nine Demons of Ramlaat. They find torture chambers, cages, and a trapped sylph. Freeing her activates a strange silvery guardian. Violence erupts, a companion is gravely injured and taken, and the party retreats with a prized mithril chain and a holy relic, forced to regroup and decide whether to return for their friend.

The party arrives at a snowy hill under a blood-red moon to investigate a raided supply caravan. They find mutilated bodies, shadowy tendrils, and tribal allies; a ritual led by the red-haired bandit leader "Moonchild" culminates at the summit. A chaotic battle ensues—summons, shadow attacks, and a dramatic confrontation as Moonchild seizes a beating heart before vanishing into the sky, leaving the party to recover supplies and loot the scene.
