In Episode Three "True Love" Prince Jon is saved from the storm by Dylan's family. Recovering in the Welsh village, he learns that the people of Wales are nothing like he imagined. Meanwhile, Rhiannon tries to contact the "spirits of the forest" hoping they can lift her curse. Believing that finding true love is the key to her salvation, Rhiannon uses magic to seduce Prince Jon - not realizing that he's on a mission to avenge his mother's death by killing her. .. In Episode Two "The Curse" trapped by the English, Rhiannon makes a desperate decision and unleashes a black magic curse. The spell goes out of control, however, and kills an unintended victim. Rhiannon falls into a deep sleep and is sealed within a cave. Ten years later, she's accidentally awakened and discovers a changed Wales. Meanwhile, King Edward's brave but impulsive son Prince Jon tries to convince his father to let him travel to Wales to find Rhiannon and kill her. Coming to terms with a changed word, Rhiannon meets her now full-grown son Pryderi.
