Description

Join us as we discuss our favorite read so far on the podcast: ATLAS OF UNKNOWABLE THINGS by McCormick Templeman. We brewed up Jane’s Preambulation from Virginia Miller’s UNEASY ELIXIRS: 50 CURIOUS COCKTAILS INSPIRED BY THE WORKS OF EDWARD GOREY. Trust us when we say you need to 1) read this book and 2) make this cocktail. Special Thanks to Jay McPherson to the theme song and freesound_community, Dragon-Studio, and u_uy2kad5rlq for the sound effect from Pixabay.com This is a public episode. Join Jessica and Erin as they discuss The Silver Book by Olivia Laing. We landed in different camps on the book but both loved the cocktail. Make a Casanova for yourself and join us! Casanova (variation) 2 oz Cognac 1/2 oz Campari 1 oz yellow Chartreuse (or sub Dom Benedictine) 1 oz fresh squeezed orange juice muddled ginger coin 2 dashes habanero tincture (or a pinch of cayenne pepper) Muddle ginger, mix all ingredients with ice, shake, pour, and enjoy! And for the record, the movie Jessica was trying to think of was Glengarry Glen Ross! And as always, thanks to Jay McPherson for the theme song. This is a public episode.
