This showed his hunger. He prayed for Borders, “enlarge my coasts” Help me impact and influence more for you He prayed for Backing, “that thine hand might be with me” Showed his humility. If your hand goes with me, I can face whatever is ahead of me. He prayed for himself in the Battle, This showed his heart, “keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me” The Provision that Followed him- vs 10, “God granted him that which he requested”

We all are living in the “now” We see through a glass darkly. We see a reflection, but it’s an imperfect one. In this passage we’re reminded that although there is a “For now” the “But then” is coming! Scripture reminds us constantly that “now” is temporary but “then” is eternal!
