Moment of Truth
Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2512697/fan_mail/new] This week's Moment of Truth: James 2:14-17 (NIV) — "What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." Faith without action is not faith. It is a title with nothing behind it. Colonel Richard J. Mendelow (Ret) tells a story this week that every Christian man needs to hear — a moment in Frankfurt where he came face to face with a hungry, homeless man and had nothing to give. What do you do with a moment like that? You learn from it. You do better. And you keep moving forward. If you truly feel the weight of what God offered in placing His Son in your place, your heart's response will not be silence. It will be love in action. Loving people is worship of God in its most tangible form — and it is the one thing over which you have complete control, regardless of your circumstances. So, what is your faith actually doing?
