episode everybody knew I was Black, but me cover

Description

The pilot episode for the No Mixed Feelings podcast offers a deeply personal look into how my lived experiences as a biracial Black woman impacted the decision to start the project, the two Black women who shaped me before I knew I was Black, and addressing my name change.  Trigger warnings: mental health, suicidal ideation, sexual assault, lynching, references to George Floyd and Daunte Wright, police brutality, racial trauma, and death. These trigger warnings are offered with emphasis for the Black community and people of color.  References I used in for this episode: https://naacp.org/find-resources/history-explained/history-lynching-america https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/crime/police-brutality-deaths-floyd-chauvin-b1839103.html https://www.npr.org/2021/12/23/1066012247/kim-potter-trial-daunte-wright
