#005: Embracing Rest, Redefining Productivity, and Reclaiming Myself

In this candid and reflective episode of Notes on Living, I share an honest update on where I am after two weeks away from social media. This break has led me to a deeper understanding of the cycle of burnout I’ve been stuck in for years—ever since leaving my corporate job, launching my mindset business, and creating Notes on Living. I’ve been moving from one pursuit to the next without ever giving myself permission to truly rest and recover. I open up about the guilt I've carried around leaving my job, pausing my mindset business, and not always being “productive” in the conventional sense. But I’m beginning to see that there is more to a meaningful life than a high-powered career or a constant push for achievement. I’m choosing to focus on what truly matters—pouring into my relationships, creating a peaceful home, and actively raising my kids. I also dive into my relationship with weed and how I’m working to separate who I am from the habit that has become a crutch. This is part of a broader shift I’m making—reorganizing the different “parts” of myself. I’m demoting the voices of my Comfort Seeker and Inner Judge and instead, promoting my Mentor and Decider to lead the way. Finally, I share my decision to move away from a strict podcast schedule. Rather than releasing an episode every two weeks, I will only publish when I feel genuinely inspired, passionate, and excited about what I have to share. This approach will allow me to focus on quality, authenticity, and meaningful conversations. Tune in for a raw, honest look at how I’m navigating this season of rest, healing, and self-discovery.   * 5 Journaling Prompts to Re-Discover Yourself: https://dananadiahanson.kit.com/274e8f625c [https://dananadiahanson.kit.com/274e8f625c] * Subscribe to My Mailing List: https://dananadiahanson.kit.com/2d958c3d5d [https://dananadiahanson.kit.com/2d958c3d5d] * Connect With Me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/iamdanahanson [https://www.instagram.com/iamdanahanson] * Shop My Amazon Storefront: https://amzn.to/3WKg643 [https://amzn.to/3WKg643]

#003: Rhythms, Routines, and Real Life – Building Sustainable Systems That Actually Work

Are you struggling to find a daily routine that works with your energy, your schedule, and your season of life—especially with young kids, ADHD tendencies, or a creative brain that resists structure? In this episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on how I’m building flexible daily rhythms that support my personality, my family, and my creative work. From ADHD-friendly time blocking to a fresh take on meal planning and kitchen management, I’m sharing what’s helping me find flow and stay consistent—without the burnout. You’ll hear: * How recognizing my ADHD traits helped me shift my approach to routines and systems * Why I use rhythm blocks instead of rigid schedules—and how they’re helping me create before I consume * What it means to be the “household wellness leader” and how that mindset shift is impacting our family’s health * My process for a kitchen reset, including pantry clean-out, creating a staples inventory and running our home kitchen like a well-stocked restaurant * A breakdown of my 3x3 meal planning system and how I stay organized using the Notes app and Pinterest * Real-life insight into building sustainable habits while raising kids, managing shifting schedules, and navigating imperfect days If you’re a creative mom, multi-passionate person, or someone who’s always “tried routines” but nothing sticks—this episode will meet you right where you are. 🎧 Tune in now and let’s talk real-life rhythms, creative flow, and leading your home with intention.     Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/iamdanahanson [https://www.instagram.com/iamdanahanson] Check out my Amazon storefront: https://amzn.to/3WKg643 [https://amzn.to/3WKg643] Download my Free 30-DAY Habit Tracker: https://dananadiahanson.kit.com/0d4a3d901a [https://dananadiahanson.kit.com/0d4a3d901a] Download my 5 Journaling Prompts to rediscover yourself: https://dananadiahanson.kit.com/274e8f625c [https://dananadiahanson.kit.com/274e8f625c]
