This series is an exploration of the music that helped to shape who I am. It's like a 30 for 30 but I'm poor and unathletic. These are the stories that explain why I am the way I am, and what music was in the background of my formative moments. This might be a terrible idea. #001 | Thereabouts 7th Grade | Of Chorus!

The musical rationale behind why I am the way I am. This debut episode mainly lingers around the 7th grade. Some topics include my first ever burned CD, whipping a hockey stick 20 yards right in to the deserving face of a shit-talker, and why you shouldn't wear a pro team's hat unless you've familiarized yourself with the roster first. Growing up is tough. Having your own soundtrack to your memories makes is easier. Green Day, Dr. Dre, Nelly, and somehow Adam Sandler were among the heroes who made my 13th year survivable. Find the Of Chorus! #001 playlist on Spotify to pre-listen to the songs in the episode if you're a keener, or pause the pod when they're mentioned to get up to speed. Songs are in order of mention, though a few are omitted to keep it to the juicy bits.
