About Off My Hinge

Having unintentionally gone on Sixty Hinge dates in the final six months of 2022, Abby has invited some of the sixty guys she met on the New York Dating Scene over two years later to get their perspective on the same interactions. As a social experiment and a comedy podcast, Off My Hinge facilitates a non-combative forum to analyze and unpack how and why Hinge has changed the way we have normalised all forms of relationship building in Gen Z. The project contextualises why Hinge has become a fundamental social tool in guiding and influencing how Gen Z forms relationships post-pandemic.

In this week's episode of Off My Hinge, Abby connects with Koby Lazar two years later, a Brooklynite beautifully acquainted with the NYC dating scene, to discuss one of Abby's fondest Hinge Dating memories. The episode attempts to tackle the question of whether or not anyone can learn the art of dating in the age of over saturated dating apps and underlines the factors and influences of creating proactive relationships facilitated through dating apps.
