Episode 7 - Dealing with News

We're thrilled to be back with a brand new episode of the "Oral Therapy" podcast after a long hiatus of over a year! Join us as we dive into heartfelt conversations and explore the rollercoaster journey of dealing with our son Nyle's heart difference. ❤️ We share our experiences, insights, and coping mechanisms when faced with both positive and challenging news. Talking about this has helped tremendously as we prepare for his heart surgery this Thursday. This little man has made quite the entrance, and we look forward to all the fantastic things he has in store.

Episode 6 - Contrasting Happiness

We've been on a journey to figure out what makes us happy for quite some time and finally realized that it's such a stark contrast from person to person. Happiness comes from all over and is interpreted differently from person to person. It doesn't fit into a mold and isn't always what you expect. The mold that society has for happiness is broken, and hopefully after listening, you'll feel better about where your happiness does and doesn't begin.

Episode 5 - Censor Your SH*T At Work

We often find ourselves in situations where we do or say one thing but wish we would have done or said another. We have had our share of experiences, particularly at the workplace, where we sometimes have to censor ourselves out of necessity or survival. While we know we can’t go back in time and do something differently, we can certainly talk about it to get all of those “should’ves, could’ves, and would’ves” off our chest.

I nearly lost my s*** thinking about this episode and its content because it was so annoying. Pet Peeves! That is the annoying content! It feels really good to air out what’s so irritating… and honestly, some of you listening probably do these things – including you, Willis Neal! You don’t have to stop doing them, but know that you drive me crazy when you do! Listen to some of ours and see our honest opinions on how interesting we feel some of them are.

Let's talk about something we all have dealt with –body issues. And if you say you haven't dealt with them, you're lying–or you're very lucky. Everyone deals with them, whether you're tall, short, big, small, skinny, or chubby. When you break down those words as individual adjectives, they aren't meant to be harmful, yet sometimes to us, they are. What happened to us? How did we get to this point? We don't know about you, but we can tell you where our body issues originate.
