Page 332 - The Certainty of Allāh’s Power

In this lesson of Sūrah Al-Ḥajj, verses 1-7, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains the greatness of the Day of Judgement and the certainty of resurrection. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ commands mankind to be mindful of Him and describes the terrifying events of the Final Hour, when the severity of that day will overwhelm creation. The verses warn against following falsehood and arguing about Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ without knowledge, while reminding us of the consequences of following Shayṭān. Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf highlights the signs of Allāh’s power through the stages of human creation, the revival of the barren earth after rainfall, and the fact that Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ is the ultimate truth who gives life to the dead and has power over all things. In this lesson of Sūrah Al-Anbiyā’, verses 101-112, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains the reward prepared for the believers, the events of the Day of Judgement, and the mercy of Prophet ﷺ. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ describes how those who were promised goodness will be kept away from the punishment of Hell, protected from the greatest terror, and welcomed by the angels with glad tidings of the eternal blessings awaiting them. In this episode of the Tafseer series, Shaykh Dr Aḥsan Hanif explains Surah Al-Anbiyāʾ (21:91–100), where Allah ﷻ mentions Maryam (ʿalayhā as-salām) and her son ʿĪsā (ʿalayhi as-salām) as a sign for the worlds. Prophet Lūṭ (ʿalayhi as-salām) was granted wisdom and saved from a corrupt people, while Prophet Nūḥ (ʿalayhi as-salām) was rescued, along with his family, after turning to Allah in his time of hardship. Allah ﷻ also mentions the wisdom and blessings given to Prophets Dāwūd (ʿalayhi as-salām) and Sulaymān (ʿalayhi as-salām), including knowledge, judgement, and abilities granted by Him.
