The Enemy’s Greatest Target — Marriage
The Enemy’s Greatest Target — Marriage
Welcome to Pamoja Podcast, a ministry of Live of Christ International.
Pamoja means “together.”
And that’s what this space is all about — walking together in faith, growing together through the Word, and living the life of Christ in our homes, our marriages, and our daily lives.
I’m your host, Berry Mwamba, and in this first season, we’re talking about something the enemy fears the most — marriage.
My wife and I have been married for eighteen years, and before that, we dated for five.
We’re both Christians — born again and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Today, by God’s grace, we have a beautiful family, a deep friendship, and a love that continues to grow.
But getting here wasn’t easy.
We walked through storms — real storms — moments we weren’t sure we’d make it.
There were nights we thought love was gone.
Times we ignored each other’s hearts, separated bills, called lawyers, and even started planning to live apart.
We believed we had lost our first love.
But God, in His mercy, stepped in.
He reminded us who joined us together in the first place.
He showed us that marriage isn’t built on emotion, or understanding, or intelligence — it’s built on Him.
I chose to begin this series with marriage because I’ve learned something powerful.
The devil’s biggest mission is to destroy marriage.
Because when marriage falls, the church weakens, and society follows.
He knows that strong marriages build strong families, and strong families build strong communities.
So he attacks the foundation — the covenant God designed to reflect His love.
But through the years, I’ve learned that a lasting marriage isn’t built on beauty, intelligence, or even emotion.
It stands on God, and on two hearts that refuse to let go of Him or of each other.
When storms come, when understanding fails, when love feels tested, remember — your strength is not in what you know, but in Who holds you together.
Your only true support is God and your spouse — your partner in the covenant of grace.
That’s how marriages endure.
That’s how families thrive.
That’s how the church stays strong.
If the enemy attacks what God built, then we must defend it with prayer, grace, and love.
Your marriage is not just about happiness — it’s about holiness.
Pray together. Forgive quickly. Stand united when it’s hardest to stand at all.
Because when your home is strong, your faith stands firm.
That’s how marriages endure.
That’s how families thrive.
That’s how the church stays strong.
